“Paddleboarding” | #44 + Info about Duskbirds Print Zines!

This comical incident occurred during a wonderful trip I took with my partner and his family when we visited the Philippines. Amusingly, for whichever reasons, I was better able to balance on the paddleboard compared with my partner. While on paddleboard duty, I noticed a growing swarm of tiny jellyfish billowing below us. I distinctly remember thinking how we must avoid falling into the water, and, well – you see what happened next! (Luckily, the stings were more itchy than painful.)

I will be at the Peninsula Libraries Comic Arts Fest (PLCAF) this Saturday April 4, with printed zines of Duskbirds Comics volumes 1 and 2 available for the first time! To celebrate, I retouched several of the older comics specially for this print edition, incorporating what I learned over the past year drawing The Harbinger’s Path comic. These touched-up Duskbirds Comics are currently only available in print. I’d like to eventually update these pages to the website here, but I don’t have a set schedule for when I can make time for this. So if you can, please stop by if you’d like to see the updated versions of these comics! :D More info further down in this post.

Duskbirds Comics in Print!

If you missed it in the last post, Duskbirds Comics is in print for the first time! This isn’t available online and there aren’t current plans to (I printed these for a small comics convention I’m tabling at this Saturday) – but I’m very pleased with how they turned out, and wanted to show you. :D
